Reverend Susan Announces Her Retirement
First of all, let us give our thanks and blessings to Rev. Susan for the six years of wonderful service she has provided to our Church and to the Community.
The Vestry is working with Bishop Beisner and Canon Britt in the selection
process for a new Rector. This process will take time; there will be an
interim Rector selected by the Vestry while the search is ongoing. However,
the Vestry thinks that this selection process will not take as long as the last
time, and the final selection most likely will be made in 2011.
The Vestry will work with volunteers from within the congregation to go through
the process of selection. The process is well documented by the Diocese and
will be overseen by Bishop Beisner and Canon Britt. The Vestry will be
creating a Profile Committee and a Selection Committee to help them with this
selection process. Anyone interested in volunteering for either of these
committees should contact a Vestry member (see list below).
The Vestry will provide regular updates on the progress of the selection. The
medium used will be during Sunday Services, the St Luke's web site, The Nugget
as well as Church Bulletins. The web site will be the most frequently updated
medium during this process.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Vestry members.
With prayer, attention to the Spirit speaking to us, and mutual respect for
each other, I believe we can complete this process very successfully and in a
reasonable time.
