"The Victorian Attic", St. Luke's Thrift Shop

St. Luke's Victorian Attic is a thrift shop owned and operated by St. Luke's Episcopal Church under the auspices of the ECW (Episcopal Church Women). The mission of the Victorian Attic is to serve our Lord in Auburn and around the world.

We do this by contributing our proceeds to many charities locally and abroad. These include the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet, the Sacramento Food Closet and the Salvation Army Thanksgiving and Christmas programs in Auburn. We help support an American Indian girl through the Christian Children's Fund, as well as a clinic in the Dominican Republic. We also contribute to the Episcopal Relief & Development Fund which provides disaster relief funding all around the world.

We donate clothing to people who are in need, provide vouchers to other churches in the area for this purpose, and donate clothing to other clothes closets in the area. Some of our clothing has even gone to a missionary in Africa for distribution. We have donated children's books to the Boys & Girls program at Rock Creek School in Auburn.

Our staff consists of men and women volunteers who work two hour shifts once a week. Our current hours are 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Monday and Wednesday, 10:30 A.M until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday. We are also open the first Sunday of the month from 9:00 A.M. until Noon. We would like to increase our hours and to that end new volunteers are always welcome! Our hours are limited primarily by the number of volunteer we have.

We strive to be the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ in the community through the loving service of our volunteers (the Angels in the Attic). Join us!!!

We are located at 148 Lewis Street (next to the church).
