Grow through prayer

Prayer is an important part of our faith life. We believe that prayer has the power to transform our lives and deepen our life with Christ and one another.

Candlelight Contemplative Prayer

St. Luke's offers weekly contemplative prayer in the sanctuary on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All are welcome, and no previous experience in silent prayer or meditation is required.

Contemplative prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer. Rather, it adds depth of meaning to all prayer and facilitates the movement of the soul from more active modes of verbal prayer into a receptive prayer of resting in God. If you are interested in learning more about Christian contemplative practices, please contact Fr. Brian.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction is a process of holy listening and conversation. Although clergy at St. Luke’s cannot offer long-term counseling, clergy are available for short-term spiritual direction and can help parishioners find appropriate referrals for necessary counseling services. If you would like to schedule time to speak with a member of clergy, please contact us.
