Education and formation

We are always seeking to deepen our faith, theological understanding, and grasp of Scripture. At St. Luke’s, there is a learning opportunity for people of all ages and levels of interest. For more information about any of these classes or programs, please contact us.

Sunday Morning Parish Forum

This weekly class is held in the Parish Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on select Sundays. Watch our event page for these study announcements.

A series will usually last for about four Sundays, but drop-ins are always welcome. We cover a range of topics, including basic theology and doctrine, the prayerbook, Anglican tradition, liturgy and more. Classes are in a lecture-format with discussion, and people of all backgrounds and experience are welcome.

Wednesday Night Contemplative Study Group

St. Luke’s holds Candlelight Centering Prayer from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Wednesday night. Prior to the service, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., parishioners are invited to come to the Parish Hall to explore topics in contemplative practice, including the method of Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, the Welcoming Practice and more.

Monday Evening men’s Discussion Group

This weekly discussion group meets on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This group generally takes the previous week’s sermon as its starting point for continued discussion, with members taking turns preparing to facilitate the discussion. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Deacon Bill Hefti.

Thursday Morning WOmen’s Bible Study

This weekly class meets from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays.

We are currently reading through the Gospel of Mark and are using a study guide from Zondervan Press. Each meeting opens and ends with prayer as we connect our lives and concerns as Christian women to the message of Mark’s Gospel. If you are interested in this study, please contact Mrs. Karen Tomlin.
